Annual Shraddha Ritual
Service Description
The Annual Shraddha Ritual is a sacred observance performed to offer prayers, gratitude, and respect to departed loved ones. This ritual helps bring peace to their souls while invoking blessings, harmony, and protection for the family. Conducted with devotion and adherence to Vedic traditions, the Shraddha ceremony includes sankalpa (intention setting), sacred offerings, mantra chanting, and prayers for spiritual upliftment. The ritual symbolizes love, remembrance, and the timeless bond between generations. Even if you are living far away, the Annual Shraddha allows you to honor your loved ones with sincerity and devotion. Our trusted priests perform the ceremony on your behalf at revered locations, ensuring every step is carried out with dignity, purity, and authenticity. The Annual Shraddha ritual is conducted with deep devotion and precise adherence to Vedic procedures. Each step is designed to offer peace to the departed soul and blessings to the family. 1. Sankalpa (Setting the Intention): The priest begins by taking your name, gotra, and the name of the departed soul. A sankalpa is made to perform the Shraddha on your behalf, invoking sincerity and purpose. 2. Invocation of Deities & Ancestors: Sacred mantras are chanted to invoke divine energies and invite the pitrs (ancestral spirits) to receive the offerings. 3. Pinda Daan (Offering of Rice Balls): Symbolic offerings known as pindas—made of rice, sesame, barley, or wheat flour—are offered with mantras. These represent nourishment, love, and support for the soul’s onward journey. 4. Tarpan (Offering of Water): Water mixed with black sesame seeds is offered while chanting mantras. Tarpan is believed to provide peace, satisfaction, and blessings from the ancestors. 5. Brahmin Bhojan (Offering Food to Priests): Food is offered to Brahmins as part of traditional practice. This act symbolizes giving, gratitude, and fulfilling one’s dharma. 6. Prayers & Aarti The ritual concludes with prayers for: - peace for the departed soul - protection and harmony for the family - removal of obstacles and blessings for prosperity Aarti is performed to express devotion and complete the ceremony. 7. Blessings & Completion The priest offers blessings in your name and conveys the completion of the ritual. Photos or video of the ceremony can be shared as per your request.
